if a girl you've never talked to from school stares or glances at you when your not looking ...like everyday...but then stops completely the next week....does it mean shes lost interest? or becoming shy or something

She's interested, but noticed you saw her, and is trying to avoid you out of embarrassment. Whenever she looks your way, look at her softly. If she looks away coyly, or smiles shyly, or even just puts on a big grin, it might mean something. If she looks at you like you have a toilet wad on your hair (or looks like she wouldn't give you a chance), go to the restroom, check your hair, and get back in the game. If you don't like her, the easiest way to show you're not interested, is to get a girlfriend. =)

depends on the girl. some lose intrest really fast while some know that you saw them looking at you which makes them shy.

it means if you havent said anything you are not interested, she's still interested but you are throwing her off
