Why can't you be both? Being a Freemason has nothing to do with your religion. Discussions about religion are not even allowed at a lodge. Please don't tell me you believe all that silly Freemasons are satanic stuff.

If you are gullible to believe that you must also think George Bush planned the attack on 9-11.

I am a Freemason it is completely compatible with being a christian.

Please if you disagree email me with questions or any link to a 1st hand account telling a satanic Freemason story.

A mixture of Anglicans, Deists, some were Freemasons. Above all, they believed in religious liberty and were completely dead-set against the establishment of a "State Church" like England has.

Forefathers were Deist.

That was the main "smart" religion of the enlightenment, championed by Voltaire himself. It said God was the "clockmaker" who created the universe according to certain natural laws. Then God got up and left, to let the "clock" run on its own. So praying won't help, finding God's natural laws and applying/exploiting them will.

You mean Christians or Freemasons. That's a tough call. But the constitution they wrote is excellent, so it doesn't really matter.

The original founders of the colonies were by and large Christians, those who came later and did all the talking, writing and speech making were probably, by and large Masons.
