He screwed up again because he's a #1 DORK, and should race go carts at a local vacant lot.

I am not saying this to be mean to any Earnhardt fans, but I don't think Jr. will even make it into the chase this year, unless him and Theresa get things worked out. It seems to me that, when Jr. has something as deep as this on his mind, he can't concentrate on racing. I know it has a lot more to do with the car, pits, crew, etc., but DEI just goes down hill when there is drama in the shop.

I just don't think DEI as an organization is a prime time player and really haven't been since getting started. This isn't the first time they have had a problem similar to this one.

A couple of years ago at the same track, Jr. had to park the car without even crashing or having a bad motor. They simply couldn't get it to go fast enough for NASCAR's minimum speed.

I think the problems over there with ownership are showing sometimes on the track. He's going to have a hard time making the chase with so many other really good teams out there.

I've been saying all along that he has way too many distractions going on right now. He needs to go to RCR and just concentrate on driving the car. In his defense a little bit, someone should have been on the radio talking about when to pit. Just like the spotters tell them if they are clear or that the green flag is out, they should be saying red or green on the lights to the pits.

jeez, give the guy a break. he still finished 11th and made big gains toward the top 12. do you realize he's only 90 points out of 12th with atlanta, bristol, and martinsville coming up? those are 3 great tracks for him, he'll be fine. he also had a great car at california, but he blew an engine. all the junior haters on here are going to feel mighty stupid in a few weeks here, because junior and truex both will make the chase this year. you heard it here first.

You should have heard him on the radio. His quote was something like "I can't do it f$@*king all!". He was just following the 31 car down pit road, not realizing that the 31 was having trouble. He sounded so disgusted on the radio and I will really be surprised if this team stays intact the whole year, maybe even the next few weeks.

I don't think it's 100% his fault.
However In '05 when he missed the chase he admitted he's not right on the track when his personal life isn't right which is a bad way to go if you wanna be a race car driver.

I predict if he does get control of DEI he'll eventually drive for Childress in the #3 Bud car. May never happen but it's been thrown around. That's 100% Childress' decision and all speculation ofcourse............
That's the way his dad did it knowing you cant race the car right if you paid for it.

Earnhardt Jr is showing this season that he is not the greatest thing on 4 wheels much to the chagrin of his lemming type followers. He never has been the driver that his bandwagon fans make him out to be. He just happens to have the same last name as a great driver.

It can happen... sit yourself in a car for 3 hours and see how it goes. He was staring into the sun and did not see the light that showed it was closed and he just followed the 31 in. He was talking on his radio at the time, so his crew chief could not wave him off.... it can happen to anyone. Jr is my driver, but he is far from perfect.

He just needs to put his personal feelings and whatever on the back-burner when he is in the cockpit and drive. I agree, however that was a dumb maneuver to pit early when the pits were closed.
