The Christian God appears to have needed Blood and Pain to function. He could not forgive "sin" without it. Jesus asked his "Father" to let him live thrice. Jesus didn't give his life, he was overpowered and his true begging rejected.

There is no reason, your God could have forgiven your sins. However, you apparently proud of a God who demands blood and agony for something that he could do without working up a sweat. How can you even teach such things to your children.

I thank all those who through their anxiety to prove my words false--though backed with citation. That they throw up contradicting statements and cites the taint their own Bible as contradictory and falsely leading.

If Jesus knew that he was going to die anyway (This is using Jesus is God argument) then why would he cry out?

I think thats more a matter of justice. God being absolutely pure has (from his own absolutely pure standards) to apply justice. So He can forgive but must also punish sin, and at the full price. Jesus voluntarily choose to do this "I lay down my life of my own accord" [john 10:18], to receive the punishment for our sins.

He did not want to do in his human side it as He had to experience the full wrath of God. He accepted it because He knew there was no other way to atone for our sins, the accounts say.

The good side for us, is that we are going to get to experience the absolute love side of God's nature in heaven., since no sins are held against believers. It is going to absolutely fantastic. Some of that we can taste now through the gift of the Holy Spirit. God's holiness would make everyone respect Him if they knew it, and strive to be forgiven, but our ideas of God are often what seems right to us, and very complacent towards sin.

Wow, you really don't understand the Scriptures, do you? Jesus Christ, from the time he came of age, right through being hung on the cross, the three 1/2 days in the tomb, and all the way back to Heaven, He was teaching. Example: On the Cross, folks think He was being abandoned by God, when Jesus said "My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?", but Jesus never called God "God", he called HIm "Father".
What Christ was doing was reciting Psalms 22, which told of the crucifiction 1000 yrs prior to the event; Christ was telling you that he was fulfilling prophecy.
As to your "3 times Jesus asked", yes, you are right, He did ask that if it be possible, is there any way that this cup might not have to be - Do you know what cup Jesus is referring to? The cup of wrath that is to be poured out without measure onto the children. This is pure prophecy. Jesus wasn't being bullied by God, it was all teaching. Even when Christ was in the tomb, he didn't just lie there, he went to all those who had died before the crucifiction, to give them the opportunity for salvation.
Do you think He would just forget all those from Adam and Eve and all the way through up until the crucifiction? That means there wouldn't have been any salvation for Moses,
David, Paul, Luke, John, Peter, Deborah,
Mary Magdeline, etc etc....
All of it was teaching; Christ came here in the flesh to accomplish a task, and He was well aware of what He was to do; Peter tried to stop the arresting officer, even cutting off the dude's ear, but Jesus told him "get behind me satan", because only satan himself would not have wanted the crucifiction to take place. Jesus healed the ear.

No. It wouldn't be right. Unless of course, it was the spawn of Satan. No, really, I couldn't do that. You are supposed to protect your children, not ignore them in their time of need.

Come on. It was all a con. He knew he was going back to become vice-president for life. if Jesus could walk on water, a bit of self hypnosis shouldn't have been beyond him.

Well, let's face it.. psychopaths only get a thrill from animal killings for just so long.. they have to move up to human beings after awhile to get the thrill. Obviously, this god is psychotic.. why people would worship him is beyond me.

You know what a forordained plan is?
Jesus was checking in to see if this is what God wanted, not begging.
