ive never done anything that was really bad. since ive bin in junior high i havent made lower than a 94. im popular tho. lots of guys like me and i like them 2. im tired of saying no 2 perfectly nice guys bcuz my mom duznt think i shood hav a boyfriend. @ my school a boyfriend is jus sum1 u hug, walk w/, talk on the fone w/ , and maybe go 2 the movies w/ as long as ur w/ a large crowd. shood i date behind my moms bac? im tired of havin 2 b perfect all the time. i wanna hav fun. by the way im only 13!!!

Dating is ok at 13..... just please dont rush into sex. You have your whole life to do that.... there is no rush! Also you should talk to your mom about it openly and honestly.. it snot good to keep secrets.. they always come out.

I think I know how you feel - when I was younger my parents were against me dating too. Try sitting down with your mom and telling her that you know that you shouldn't let a boyfriend distract you from your studies, and that you aren't going to have a serious/intense relationship. Explain that you know that you're young and you know that you won't 'misbehave'. You'll impress her with your maturity, and she just might change her mind. But if she still says no, don't argue too much with her. That'll show her even more how mature you are, and you can still be good friends with a boy. I mean, if a boyfriend at your school is the way you described, it sounds more like a good friend than a boyfriend. If you tell your mom that that's all it would be, she likely will let you.

There is nothing wrong with being friends with the other sex at your age. But i think 13 is too young to have a boyfriend. You should just be friends hang out with guys and have fun. There is a lot of time to get involved with someone. Take your time and dont try to grow up to fast. Enjoy the young age and all the experiences you will find in your new life .

Well, I'm 12, and never dated, though I've seen girls in my class giving and receiving French kisses. And usually in science, where puking is o.k....
My bestestest friend has had around 6 boyfriends from age 11. And she's trying to set me up too..^^'

I had this one guy ask my mom if he could, not in the nerd way, but in a nice way, and my mom definitely agreed w/ yours. I'd suggest getting your mom to know the boy, or starting out with a friend. Try and prove your responsibility, discreetly, by doing extra stuff 'round the house.

I suppose it's alright, as long as you feel up to it. In my area, bf's are more of a possession, a status. Not a lifelong commitment. Don't date behind her back, if she finds out, she'll up the date at which you can date. Ask the guy (choose one!!!) to come over with his family, and get them to mingle before going solo with him.

Waiting is good too, or better yet, get your own posse of guys! Be friends, not a flirt, and you'll have better experience before you start.

I have a 13 Yo daughter that is having sex, in the juvenile court system, and out all hours of the night, it's OK to date, but don't go any further, I went further, and ended up with four kids by 21 Yo, I was on the Honor Roll all Thru High school, until I started partying in my Jr. year, you still have lots of time, take it slow!

The thing i am wondering about is why your mom don't want you to date? What does she not truste you. Show that your responsible. do a few differnt things around the house that your mom will notice without a big surprise and then bring up the subject about dating. Say you won't do anything that they won't approve of and see what she says

Get good grades, trust me it's worth more than anything. Be the best you can be. There is nothing wrong with having a BF but pay attention to you and your goals. Large crowds are good have fun, but be smart with anything you do. You first!

courting is criminal, with intercourse i think of with below 18 the age is only no person sixteen+ would properly be with every person below 13. So, i think 13 and 17 is criminal. additionally to all the persons asserting this is "gross" they don't be attentive to the placement so as that they actually can not say that.

Ouch! Dont worry My Mom Is like that too. I mean like my grades are pefect and im very nice to her and all that but she wont let me go out with guys. Until One Day the boy of my dreams asked me out and i couldnt say no so i said yes and you no what till this day im still going out with him. im going out with him behind my mom back. i no it sopunds bad but if you dont have experince you will never no. i know how u feel. and if i go out with him my mom will freak, but i dont know how she wud find out cuz he goes to a differnet school .but she makes sure i aint talking to guys on the phone or hug them. i hug them and stuff and talk on the phone with them, but i dont nessecarily like them. just as friends. its whatever u think is right. yall could just be reallly close friends.
