while war is good for the economy, and has been a driving force for many of the technological advances that we use today, the human factor is what prevents total, uncontrolled war in today's world.
That one soldier has a mother, a father, brothers and sisters, a wife or girlfreind, kids and freinds. Why ruin their lives for a war that is making the large corporations of the world rich, who are selling munitions to both sides of the conflict, and the US government going even further into debt due to the costs of war?
cheers,
josh

If that faceless soldier were your father, brother, sister, etc., you might not be so cavalier about sending our troops there.
As far as profits, I would say that Haliburton is about the only one really making money off of this war and they are moving to Dubai in order to escape paying taxes in the US. I think the priority is people first, money second.
