My left ear hurts and I can't hear anything from it. It feels like there's a lot of pressure. This has happened before, and I cleaned my ears and after a while it went away. My father says it may be a virus. A girl at my job told me it could be an infection, and someone else said it could be built up earwax. It's bothering me, so I thank you if you could help me.

You could have a sinus infection that is causing the pain in the ear. Fluid builds up in the enter ear and puts pressure on the ear drum caused by the sinus infection. It could also be water that has got inside from a shower, or just your ear is infected. Heat is a good way to help the pain, so use your hair dyer to help. Also an old remedy is luke warm olive oil, not too much just enough to coat your ear drum.

It could be any number of things, but when I had unrelenting ear pain, it turned out to be a toothache. I would say do another cleaning and maybe see a doctor, and if it still doesn't go away, see a dentist. Just don't take too long, because if it is an infection, you don't want to jeopardize your hearing by wasting time.

It could be built up ear wax
You could have injured them when putting in a Q-tip too far.

You may have an ear infection, I had an ear infection so bad, and painfull that puss would come out, it hurt like hell.
If it doesnt go away in about a week, then you should see your regular doctor.

For now to help you with the pain, try heat on your ear...it won't cure the infection, only antibiotics will do that. Go see your doctor ASAP, so the eardrum doesn't rupture. Don't mess with mother nature...pain in the body is a signal that something is wrong. When we ignore the signals she gives us we get into trouble! As my old anatomy prof used to say, "The body knows how to be a body"!

Might be an ear infection, most likely can be solved with anti biotics, but you'll need a doctor for that. Or maybe you have wax build up... get some q-tips.
