Buddhism provides a philosophy of life that is based on living peacefully with your neighbors and achieving a state of mind that is free of longing and suffering.

All the Abrahamic religions are law based rather than relationship based, and thereby interfere with human-to-human relationships. Buddhism does not assert such rigidity, and does not assume any God to offer punishment. Instead, any desire brings its own punishment. It's just the condition of all sentient beings.

An honest scholar will study religions in a detached way without being either an adherent or a rejector of it.

There is a Center for the Study of Religion in Amherst NY which I think tries to do that.

The Unitarians seem to have the right idea. It's sort of "Religion Lite." It sounds like they get together for coffee on Sunday mornings rather than a prayer service. I like the fact they don't try to ram hellfire and brimstone down your throat every week, and they are pretty much accepting of dissent and questions. The other Christian faiths could learn something there.

How can the Qur'an be more 'scientifically correct', when it is based off of Torah and Bible?

The Qur'an says that "Jesus Christ is the Messiah", to accept that in the Qur'an means that you also accept what we are taught about Yeshua in Bible and Torah.

Atheists can't have it both ways -- either you do not 'believe' in God or you do. By the way, someone holding to that statement "there is no God", should be aware that it is an Absolute Statement.

Meaning that IF, the person making the statement does not know all things about everything, the statement is false; and that means it is illogical.

The most logical religion IMO is one that does not require people to believe in some god. Buddhism comes close. Islam and Christianity does not come close.

I think the most logical denomination in Christianity is the Church of Christ. They thoroughly analyze the Scriptures, even if some congregations neglect the "spirit of the law" in my opinion.

Sorry, I'm not an atheist and shouldn't have answered.

man am not an Atheist thank god , but I've read almost about every religion you can think about . now am so sure that Islam is the best way for heaven , god is so merciful on Islam he forgives you with out any sacrifices like in any other religion i read about , all you need to do is that
1 admit the wrong deeds you done
2 ask for his forgiveness and pray
3 try not to do it again
isn't that enough for you to be sure that we are on the right track

The only religion I've really ever studied is Islam, so I don't feel that I'll give you an unbiased viewpoint.

Though I have to say, the Qur'an is more scientifically correct than the Bible.

I would have to say Buddhism, although I would be hesitant to call it a religion, if only because it seems more like a personal philosophy.
