There are two options for you to repair your carpet. You can color in a small spot that has been "bleached" by coloring it in with a "permanent" marker. You may try to cut out a section and do a patch. Every time carpet is made it is a different color so make sure you carpet is from the same dye lot. If your carpet is less than a year old it is possible there is still a part of your roll available from the manufacturer. You may also steal a piece from a closet or other area to do a patch. First cut out the offending piece of carpet in a square from the affected area; use that piece to copy, and cut out a piece from the same carpet to replace the affected area glue into place using a hot glue gun and then press and hold while you mess up the fibers in the seam. It is delicate but your local carpet store should have someone to do repairs. It is a learned skill.

I hope it helps you.
Carpet dye needs to be rinsed and therefore cannot be done with the carpet installed and the backing in place.

Take care,

Carpet dye is going to cause a GIANT mess like you've never seen in your life, and you will probably come out lime green but your carpet will be ruined.

Try and find a carpet that's already the color you wanted.
