Park in NJ. Take Public Transportation.
Try this Guide
http://www.panynj.gov/CommutingTravel/path/pdfs/NEW_ParkingGuide.pdf
Or this one
http://www.njtransit.com/rg/rg_servlet.srv?hdnPageAction=StationParkRideTo
Some places don't allow Overnight Parking
For Long Term parking, try near Newark/Liberty Airport

Parking at or near the airport is safe and economical if you are staying more than a few days.

I'd say: LEAVE YOUR CAR AT HOME!

Take some form of public transit to NYC and use the public transit while you are in NYC.
