There are so many weight loss programs out there, it's hard to tell which ones aren't just in it for the money and which ones are truly effective. So, I'm curious as to how many people out there have effectively and safely lost weight and what program they are using. I'm looking for a program that's effective, safe, doesn't require a lot of money, and is realistic. Does such weight loss program even exist?????

I have tried a few over the years. What works best for me is 30 minutes of cardio combined with moderate and healthy eating.

Weight watchers worked best.

I had tried the Atkins, Jenny Craig and Nutisystem and non really worked for me and I spent a lot of money doing so. I did at long last find something that worked and it actually saved me money on my regular food bills each month, if losing some pounds of any description and inches is what you want then I would suggest you use a diet that is all natural and is rich in protein and vitamins, which is what the FDA recommends. I used a protein based diet with Herbalife after a friend who had lost weight with them recommended it to me. All the way through you feel great and energized, you also get great coaching and support along the way. The people are very friendly and gave me lots of great advice. I needed to lose 40 pounds and I did so fairly easily. There is no pressure and they will even send you a load of free samples so you can try before you buy. The samples were the thing that initially convinced me that this was the right diet for me. The products really work and you feel great whilst losing weight. You also a get e free complete health consultation with the samples, I think I just paid the postage, but for what I got it was well worth it.
I lost all my weight in less than four months and they have helped me to keep it off. I would definitely recommend using them. The owners will advise you on what to purchase depending on what you want to lose, my sister did this also and lost 76 pounds in five months. The website is www.myhealthabc.com. You just leave your details and they call you up, I would suggest that if you aren’t sure or don’t want someone to ring you then go to their main site www.myhealthabcmall.com and you can see all the products and packages and order from their. This is what I did before I went to the first site and left my details so they could contact me. You can see with all the products and detail they have, so you know that they mean business. Its nice to have contact with real people who care about you losing weight and improving your health. I know that I will continue to keep the weight off with the help I have received. I hope this helps.

I've tried LA weight loss and didn't have much success. I needed more structure. I also find that I get tired of planning my meals in advance so often every day. I've been doing Medifast for 6 weeks and have lost 27 pounds. I just have to choose a packet to mix up 5 times a day, and only have one meal to plan. It was a little hard to get used to initially, but I've come to really like the foods, and enjoy the structure of the program. There's a great forum where you'll find lots of support. I'm a member of the medifanatics, and the wii fit club. Good luck on your journey!

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.

I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.

It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.

Hands down: Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle. I have been on this program for 3 weeks and I can't believe how I feel and look. I am starting to see a six pack!!! Its an online book, so it's weird to read, but Tom Venuto knows his stuff. You have nothing extra to buy, just the food you eat. I have found that I spend less on food now than I did before. I just buy fresh veggies everyday, so there are more trips to the store. But to give you an idea, I have gone from 18% bodyfat to 15% in 3 weeks!!! That's fat loss, not just weight, nevermind the 7 lbs. I feel great, and everyone is asking me if I am slimmer. My boyfriend said my butt was getting smaller and recommended that we go shopping for new jeans to show off my new butt. I can't wait for you to read it and join the forum. Good Luck!

Here is a place that reviews a bunch of weight loss programs, dieting aides, supplements and so on. The site even has categories like diabetes, low fat and hypnosis. Pretty cool site.

http://www.reviewplace.com/cat-135-DietsWeightLoss--Top-10-Weight-Loss-Programs.html

Many of the programs listed have consumer reviews, so you can read what others think of the different programs before you decide on one for yourself.

Hope this helps!

The best "diet" out there is the one that gradually shifts your habits to healthy ones. I think those starvation, crash-diets, and pre-packaged diets are a waste...what do you do when the 30-day supply of food runs out. A good friend of mine did a diet that mailed him the food and even though he lost weight...he gained it all back and then some.

You want a diet that will slowly change over your eating habits and add some good exercise habits in there, too. Check out the link below for hints and tips on how you can start a fitness plan and stick to it.
