I think it depends on what you're STARTING at... if you weigh 500lbs, then maybe you could lose 50, but if you weigh 140lbs, no you can't lose 50 in 4 months and live or be healthy at the end.

Jog, run, walk. Don't eat sugar or fat. That's the best you can do, it will take a while.

Eat healthy meals most of the time and limit the not-so-healthy stuff. Try to avoid soda and alcoholic beverages. Try to include a little dairy in your diet, if possible.Try eating several smaller meals a day instead of a few big ones. Use mustard instead of mayo. Make most of your meals yourself and try not to indulge in alot of fast food. Exercise more often. Consider joining a gym like Curves and commit yourself to going the 3 times (atleast) per week for 30 minutes each time. When you find yourself bored or with some free time, dont just grab a calorie and fat loaded snack and relax in front of the television; grab some water, a healthier snack, and take a nice long walk or a steady jog or bicycle ride. Depending on your current size, you may not be able to lose 50 pounds in 4 months but dont let that upset you. Just try your best and you will lose weight and get in better shape. Good luck.

if losing some pounds of any description and inches is what you want then I would suggest you use a diet that is all natural and is rich in protein and vitamins, which is what the FDA recommends. I used a protein based diet with Herbalife after a friend who had lost weight with them recommended it to me. All the way through you feel great and energized, you also get great coaching and support along the way. The people are very friendly and gave me lots of great advice. I needed to lose 40 pounds and I did so fairly easily. There is no pressure and they will even send you a load of free samples so you can try before you buy. The samples were the thing that initially convinced me that this was the right diet for me. The products really work and you feel great whilst losing weight. You also a get e free complete health consultation with the samples, I think I just paid the postage, but for what I got it was well worth it.
I lost all my weight in less than four months and they have helped me to keep it off. I would definitely recommend using them. The owners will advise you on what to purchase depending on what you want to lose, my sister did this also and lost 76 pounds in five months. The website is www.myhealthabc.com. You just leave your details and they call you up, I would suggest that if you aren’t sure or don’t want someone to ring you then go to their main site www.myhealthabcmall.com and you can see all the products and packages and order from their. This is what I did before I went to the first site and left my details so they could contact me. You can see with all the products and detail they have, so you know that they mean business. Its nice to have contact with real people who care about you losing weight and improving your health. I know that I will continue to keep the weight off with the help I have received. I hope this helps.

I've tried many diets and couldn't make anything work. Since having my first child, I've been carrying around an extra 30 pounds. This diet just made sense and showed me that everything I was doing before was wrong and a waste of my time.

The plan was so refreshing and so simple to follow. I did everything plan said and lost 23 pounds in the first three weeks. I'm now starting the diet again to lose 7 more pounds. This plan has changed my life.

Get started today!

Four months is about 18 weeks, 50 pounds divided by 18 is about 2.75 pounds a week. That's a little bit on the high side, but still safe if you maintain a balanced diet. You need to reduce your overall calories, cutting out fats and excess carbs, and exercise four or five days a week for at least 30 minutes each day (45 is better), alternating the types you do from one day to the next. Focus on aerobic exercise, the kind that gets your heart pumping. Take it easy to start with, and gradually build up your tolerance.

I think 50 lbs. in 4 months is very unreasonable. I dedicated the summer between 9th and 10th grade and I was only able to lose 25 lbs. and thats was with following a very rigid diet and intense work outs and strenuous cardio 5-6 days a week.

You need to shoot for losing 5 pounds (15,000 calories) a month. Figure that 3000 calories is equal to 1 lb. and if you cut 500 calories a day from your diet you should be able to meet that goal. You will also want to add 30 minutes of physical activities, or more if you have the time, to your daily routine. As for diets look around on the web for a one that fits your life and your liking.

First you need to do cardio workout for at least 45 minutes a day 6 days a week. For breakfast eat a cup of fruit with a glass of water and have a lean pocket for lunch. Snack on fruits. Eat a good dinner....but don't over eat. You could also do the exercise routine and go on the Special K diet for a month or so.
Basically you have to work hard at it by exercising and cut you calorie intake.
Cut WAY down on sweets! Don't drink calories. Cut out any soda's. Go off alcohol for a month too.
