Seems they are so quick to pass judgement and damn people to hell. I guess I didn't realize it was their job to do so. I think Jesus cries a lot for them.

You are a Bigot. Grouping an entire relgion together and judging them is what HITLER did.
YOU are the problem. You are the one being hatefull look at your question Your the one being judgmental LOOK at your comments YOUR accusing them of doing exactly what your doing.
Get over whatever it was your parents did to you to make you hate and get a life.

There was a time in my life where I felt exactly as you do. First let me say that there are many different types of Christians, and that it is unfair to say that all Christians are hateful, judgemental, and that they damn people to hell. If you were like me before, you were probably angered or hurt by what a person or small group of people said or did to you. Since these people call themselves "Christians", you now think all Christians are the same. Christians are humans, and like all humans, Christians make mistakes. They make mistakes daily in what they say, in what they do, and what they think. That is part of being human. No one is perfect. The bible specifically directs Christians to not be judgemental or to judge another person harshly. So whoever it was that was so quick to pass judgement and damn someone to hell was basically wrong and definitely not being Christian. With that being said, haven't we all been wrong about someone, sometime in our life? I know I have. Before, I also thought that almost all Christians were fake, judgemental people, who thought that they were better than me. Then years later, I became one, and my eyes were opened. You may be right about one thing. I'm sure Jesus cries for people who behave like that, especially if those people are not sorry for what they did. I really hope that those few individuals do not stop you from getting to know Jesus more. My advice would be to forgive those people and move on. Hopefully you will find yourself among Christians who are supportive, and ones who try to convey Jesus' love. Take care and GOD bless.

Hi, i have never told anyone their going to hell, and i never will. It's not up to me...and i think your right The Lord Jesus cries when Christians pass this judgment on anyone...
Christians are saved by the Grace of God, doesn't make us any better than anyone else. Were not perfect, we are a work in progress. You have made your own judgment on Christians, we are not all the same...shalom...

I think you are right, but keep in mind that even though we are Christians and have had our sins forgiven, we still sin at times, and still have to ask God to forgive us. Some of the worst hurts I have had have come from fellow believers. But we have to forgive others so that we can be forgiven. Pray for that person that is passing judgment on you and ask God to give you the right words to say to that person. You may be the instrument for God to correct them. Make sure your heart is right before you talk to them. As far as damning people to hell-that is God's territory. He is the only one with the power and authority to do that. Give them to God, he will take care of them. God bless you greatly!

This could be said for followers of any religion. Each person will have their own take on it.

I do think, if Jesus weren't in the blissful, all-forgiving state of heaven, that he would be pretty fed up with people killing, damning, hating, and judging all in his name. That's not at all what he was about.

Care to give three examples from your personal experience? I've been in the Church all of my adult life and have never seen what you describe. I suspect what you're seeing is called "projection". That's where people project their own motivations onto others - you suspect they're acting from the same motivations you are, so you never see the other person's motivation.

Christians are taught to love everyone, but hate sin. They help people around the world with a variety of programs and organizations. Christians are very open and inviting. They also give more money to charitable causes than any other group. Don't listen to those who preach hatred at you...who try to inflame your anger against those who love you. Go to ten churches and see for yourself.

Peace to you, my friend.

It is tragic that hypocrits exist in all areas. I agree with those, however, that say you shouldn't judge them all becuase of the way some act. The problem I have with this answer, however, is that many of the people spouting hatred are leaders or prominent in the religious community and they are not denounced by those who argue that it is only some of them.

Not all Christians are like that. You just have to remember that no one is perfect. We all make mistakes, and some people act before they think. I mean, I am a Christian, and I don't judge people. I think that everyone is responsible for their own actions, and not for showing people their faults. That is God's job. So just remember that not all Christians are as you say "hateful." You are judging them as well if you classify them into a group. Hope that helps :)

Why single out Christians?

I know people from most religions (Jewish, Muslims, Sikhs, even some that follow the Native American Church) and they have the same faults as anybody else. Judgmental, Self-righteous, holier-than-thou, etc.

As a matter of fact my most recent example is from a Muslim woman (acquaintance from my brother) when I went to Canada a few weeks ago, we got to talking about her religion and straight up told me that the Talmud and the Bible were corrupted and anybody who believed in those scriptures or were pagan were going to fry w/ shaitan (I think that's satan) along w/ Bush in hell. I couldn't believe my ears and my eyes, she was completely convinced.

Your question should be, Why is human nature 'quick to pass judgment'? and so on
