Would a tranny from a Ford ranger fit in an explorer?

I have a 92 explorer xl and the tranny is stuck in third.I am having a hard time finding one from an explorer because I live in a rural area and the cost of shipping exceeds my budget.

if they are both configured the same 4x4,auto,stick, motor the same? yes it will work

yes,, if both are v6, are both a 4 cil the tran will, they both the same motor they should bolt in
