The price. There are only a few things that can be done in photoshop that cannot be done in paintshop and many users will never need them. If you don't need those features why pay almost four times as much.

There's a program with open source that uses similar programming to Photoshop, just about 4 years behind. So if you don't need a lot of power and you like the price of FREE, look for GIMP.

You could just register for newzbin and download it for free, thats how i got it for free photoshop cs2 is alot better anyways.
