My hair is naturally dark, so if I dyed it with Kool-Aid, would the colors show up? Which colors have a better chance of showing up?

hey ive deffinantly done it and i have dark brown hair... i did it in my high school bathroom after school... u gotta use the stuff without sugar in it i did mine with blue fruit punch kind u have to leave it in for like an hour and make sure u have gloves unless u want colorful hands. and make sure u have plenty of towels and paper towels. id recomend a blue or a purple they will show up the best in dark hair. i hope that helps.... and for everyone who is saying that ppl who do it are cheap and white trash.... hey whatever it was fun

kool-aid does not color hair. it might stain light blonde hair for a while. But, through a few washes it would come out. With dark hair it wouldn't show up. U should look for colored hair dyes that would show up on darker hair. If that fails go to the salon, some of them have a few crazy colors. Good luck!

If you're hair is like naturally jet black or some sort, I'm pretty sure it wouldn't show. Maybe if you use some dark colored Kool-Aid, it will give you some natural looking highlights. But it is only possibility.

Why bother with Kool-Aid, that's little kid games. Get together the $10 for a real hair color, Clairol is great, just keep it to tones that aren't too different from your normal color and maybe go a little redder for highlights. There are non-permanent colors that will rinse out in 3 to 6 weeks if you don't want the long term commitment. There are even colors that last only until your next shampoo. Kool-Aid hair will just look retarded.

Well my nephew is the king of koolaid hair color who by the way has really dark hair, he has went as far as using crayola markers to color his hair...that works too, but it comes off way to fast, your best bet it to try jello instead of koolaid all you do is make a thick paste with some cold water, and work it all into your hair leave it on for a good 30-35 minutes, and it should work really well, also it really depends on what color you want because my nephew has had almost every color of hair you can think of. Hope it works well for you!! GOOD LUCK! ** I read some of the other answers and I dont think you should let anyone discourage you from trying it because you might really like it!! I really think its cool, my nephew has done it since he was 11 and now he is 20 and he still does it from time to time!!**

I have Brown hair & i tried dying my hair with kool-aid & it left my hair a sticky disaster. My roots turned out red but the rest stayed brown I suggest to bleach the part of your hair you want to dye before doing it.

I used to dye mine with koolaid when i was alot younger just for fun and to see if it would work. I have blonde hair thugh, so of course it showed in mine, but a friend of mine had really dark brown hair, and tried blue, it showed, but you could barely see it. You might have a chance with red, but no lighter colors such as yellow, pink, green. Good luck, and also remember, that koolaid doesnt stay in for very long depending on how much you wash your hair.

Technically yes, but it's really gross and your hair gets really dry and fuzzy. The color lasts for about 5 days, but it stays in your roots. Trust me it's a disaster ready to happen. If you don't trust me, think to yourself Kool-Aid?

cool aid will just make a sticky mess use hair dye. clarol has one that costs from 2.90 to 3.40. depending on the store. try walmart or giant that's where i buy it. as for colors the boxes have indicaters that tell you if you have this color expect this.

no i wouldn't recommend it. you don't know what you're going to get. go to a hair salon get it done professionally if you want to lighten your hair. or use the box stuff. just not kool-aid. use it after you dye as a refreshing cool drink afterwards hehe.
