I am looking for an unsecured personal loan between $10,000 and $15,000--but I have past bankruptcy and a low credit score. I have researched and only found the same companies that keep turning me down or companies that want a fee to help me find a loan. Are there other alternatives to these? NEED HELP PLEASE!!!!

This loan is for an expansion on my business, and I have heard of prosper.com-- just recently and I have joined. However, it looks like people with with a grade of E and the amount I am needing for my business may not get filled.

I also have only applied for 2 personal loans in the past 3 months. I do know how credit works and have managed to raise my score by 100 points, but this is something that does take time.

Unfortunately I am losing money without the money I need for an expansion, so I don't have time.

How low do you mean by low and what do you want/need the money for? People will probably suggest www.prosper.com but that has a cut off on the credit score. (If you're looking for a car, that's a clever thing to do so that no one can repo!)

The chances of getting an unsecured loan for the amount of money you are looking for with a low credit score and a bankruptcy, are somewhere between remote and slim, unless you want to pay 300% interest to some loan shark.

There are personal lenders advertising on here all the time. Most of them are advanced fee lenders, meaning you pay them an advanced fee and you never hear from them again because you just sent a Western Union Moneygram to Nigeria or someplace and lost your money.

If you keep applying to all these places and keep getting turned down, you need to stop applying. You do realize that every time you apply for a loan and get turned down, you just knocked another bunch of points off your credit score don't you?

You're only solution is to stop doing this and get your credit score under control. You do that by paying all of your bills on time and reducing your current debt, not adding to it by taking out yet another loan.

Do NOT pay money up front for a loan!!! Most of those are scams. If a loan company suggests that you need to purchase insurance, it should be added to the loan - you should never, never pay any money up front. I filed bankruptcy a couple of years ago and am now improving my credit by using an Orchard credit card which is designed for those of us with below average credit. I had the credit card for six months and was able to get a small loan through American General. I'm sorry to say this but you will have to start with small loans and work your way up. Believe me, I've been there, no one will give you loan with out a co-signer at this point. I must say one more time, please do not pay out money to anyone - and if North American contacts you - do NOT do it. They have no credentials, none. Be sure before you trust anyone to get the name and number of the person who will be providing the loan and get the state ID # from the business to make sure that it is legit. There is a huge scam going on right now and these so called loan companies are preying on people with bad credit - promising to give them a loan if they pay so much up front. Please keep this in mind on your journey to improve your credit.

It is difficult for one with low credit score to get loans the amount you needed. My advice is to scale down your business and cut loses. I know it hurts but short-term hurt is better than long-term pain.

If your Experian score is above 520 then go online to Prosper.com. It is a service that will allow you to be a lender or a borrower. Check it out! Good Luck...

Try Prosper.com - i used them to fund my small biz. Great community of users - not a company!

If you need money asap you can get some information at the link below - you should shop around and gather up as much info as you can before you make your decision though!
