I just don't understand why "you're so gay" is tossed around in the expectation of offense. Since when does gay mean stupid? Why is it such a big deal. Does anyone have a solid factual answer as to why it's soooo wrong? (Keep in mind the word "factual" I don't want to hear any petty religious crap about Leviticus.)

There isn't any factual answer why it's so wrong, not anymore at least. These are prejudices based on, indeed, religion; if someone's religion says it's wrong then many people will just pick that up as if it were a proven fact.
Also, historically speaking there was a need for traditional families; before insurance, before retirement homes, etc, etc, when communities were still small, you pretty much had to marry and have children. If you didn't, and you got sick or old, you became a burden to society. Also small communities needed to grow, so lots of children were very welcome! Nowadays, many people even if they are bisexual remain single and many married couples remain childless by choice. This isn't selfish, we contribute in different ways to our own retirement. Anyone who works pays taxes, pays insurance fees. We have more of a problem with over-population and the children of bisexual couples who do want them are plenty to keep us going, and some homosexual couples can also arrange to have children with artificial insemination, adoption etc. While traditional families may still be important to some extend, they aren't an absolute necessity for everyone anymore, at least not in the US, Canada, Europe, Australia, etc....

Well, want it or not it does have to do with religion, people are very influenced by it, therefore making it something bad in society... I mean if the bible said that being gay is the rule it wouldn't be such a big deal right? is not like gay people choose to be that way, still is not in anyones judgement to say what or what not someone should like! is a matter of being one's self

Because "most" people in our society perceive gay as bad, and abnormal. Therefore "most" people toss around term such as "that's so gay" to express something that's bad or abnormal. We live in a world that if you don't act like everyone else do, you're considered abnormal. Sadly, it's human nature.

Hate of that gender orientation is programmed into many when they were children. The youth have a whole different view of them though and the homophobes will eventually all die out.

Homosexuality is unnatural. Ever notice that homosexual men try hard to be feminine or that homosexual women try hard to be masculine? Its because they are really attracted to the opposite sex deep down inside. You will never see two big burly masculine men making out of the beach with one putting his toungue down the throat of the other. One of them, if not both, will have tendancies and mannerisms of the opposite sex making themselves more attractive to their partner.
