you should eat 3 big meals a day and 3 little meals too, like a glass of milk handful of peanuts, and a fruit. Then u should lift weights, and have a supplement to help. im actually doing this too, and i gained 5 pounds in like a week.

Eat!

I have recently come out of Hospital after a stay in ICU.
I lost around 8 stone while I was in so need to get some weight back on me. I weigh about 7 stone now but my ideal weight is 12 - 13 stone as I'm a big fella!

The hospital put me on Steroids to stimulate my appetite (cor! and did it ever. I've never eaten so much even when I was a porker!)

I wouldn't recommend Steroids though as they are HIGHLY addictive!
Strangely enough, the Hospital gave me a few pointers on continuing to gain weight after I had finished the tablets.

They recommended Slimfast or similar. Sounds strange BUT if you think about it, it makes sense.
Eat normally, don't miss any meals and eat healthily. Use the so-called Slimming products AS WELL AS eating normally as this will give you more all the good bits that your body needs. If you lose weight by cutting a meal and having a drink, keep the meal and have a couple of shakes to gain some.
The good part is, it's a slow weight gain so you have the chance to exercise to move the extra around rather than having it sit around your waist!

You should go to see your doctor before you start re-modelling your body though. As you are a small person, there may be health risks in weight gain especially if it's fast.
The doctor can refer you to a Nutritionist and a Dietician who will give you a detailed diet designed for YOU to gain weight!

Good Luck!

Putting on weight is a tricky thing...seeing as how you probably have high metabolism. First off don't go on a carb over load, but you should eat more carbs (bread, potatoes, rice, etc). Eat the same amount of protein as you do know...don't add more protein it'll only help keep off the weight. Do continue to exercise! Build muscle!

Some fun things to do that will help. Before you go to bed every night fix yourself a milkshake. But use Whole Milk, good quality ice cream, add chocolate syrup, strawberries, or banana and peanut butter...or whatever you want.

Breakfast burrito: Cook some Scramble eggs (2-3 eggs), sausage, and harsh browns. Wrap in a flour tortia or corn tortia.

Ever have Chocolate Baklava? If not buy some you can also have that for breakfast. Or pancakes and waffles with fruit on top...strawberries, blueberries, apples, or peaches. Instead of syrup use jam!

Also instead of using white bread or rye bread use whole wheat bread or potatoe bread!

Now you want to gain some weight...not get fat so remember not to over do it. Still eat lots of fruit (it's basically water and will help your mood. When most people gain weight they feel slugish/moody/depressed. Fruit will help you feel better...and beside it's healthy. Also yogurt will help too!). Good Luck!

The best way to do it is to calculate your Basal Metabolic Rate. You can find calculators on any search engine. Multiply that number times 1-no activity, 1.25-some, 1.55 active, 1.75 more active, 2.0 complete athlete. Then you add 500-1000 calories depending on how much weight you want to gain 1-2lbs a week. Add in some weight training and you will find yourself huge in no time. You may find that the number is calories is really high, so you can use weight gainers to help you add some bulk. Don't forget to use weight training though, or all those extra calories will turn to fat. And don't try to slow down your metabolism. You have to learn to work with what you were given, altering it could hurt you later, and you may regret it. Good luck.

Do you smoke? sos I'm being serious because I was under 7 stone for most of my life and when I gave up smoking I put over a stone on within a month and am now just over 8. It's just a personal observation and I'm not trying to turn you as everyone has freedom of choice:-)

Be sure to eat well, healthfully. Start lifting weights. Muscle weighs more than fat, and it is healthier to have muscle than fat.
