We had the Judas problem,Da Vinci code and most recently a Documentary about the lost tombs.
I saw an interview with Kirk Cameran and he made a valid point. Why don't we see controversy over Muhammed,Allah,Buddah etc.Why is Jesus the one who is always emphasized?
I hope to hear some nice input.

Because the makers of the documentary (?) are out to make a fast buck and Easter (the celebration of the resurrection of Jesus) is the ideal time. It sets up for a good argument which means big money at the box office eventually.

Hello;

I will try and answer your question. For the following reasons. 1) Judas hanged himself. 2) DaVinci was excommunicated by the Catholic church. 3) Mr. Cameran found bones. Big deal! He cannot proved that they belong to Jesus Christ. 4)
the name Jesus was very common during the time in which He lived. He said he found the bones of Jesus. I found bones last week, are they those of the Lord? His findings are without merit from a Biblical stand point.

Many years ago, bones were found buried in the vault under St. Peter's in Rome. All manner of testing was done. The powers that were, stated that without a doubt they were those of the long dead Apostle. What was not told, was that bones of mice, dogs and other animals were found in the same tomb!

What is Mr. Cameran going to use for DNA testing?

The controversy about Jesus is because of what He said and did. Neither Muhammad, Buddah, Confucius, Zoroaster, Isis, Osiris or any other deities can say what Jesus said. "I am The way, and THE truth, and THE life. No man cometh unto the Father but by Me." John 14:6. Emphasis on THE.

None of the above named, offers eternal life just for believing in Him and confessing His name.

The so called intelligentsia of society have been trying time and time again. To discredit, lampoon, lambast, and deny. the person of Jesus, and the teaching of His life, death and resurrection.

None of the above named individuals has effected mankind so much as the life of this man named Jesus.

It also happens that the Nielsen Ratings people are always doing "sweeps" during the month of March, which happens to be during Lent and close to Easter, so the various networks dust off the Jesus stories in hopes of boosting ratings.
And they say atheists are cynical.

$$$$ is the answer. If people are aware of other material questioning their leaders that would be helpful. I would add look what happened when Salmon Rushdi wrote the satanic verses. Death threats do have a tendancy to dry the ink in the writers pen.

Have you ever seen people saying bad things about Muhammad and Muslims starts to get angry, until now, after that incident, no one dared say things about Muhammad. But the Christians, after all this "Jesus got married Mary Magdeline" thing, you know why they remained silence externally, because they know such things would happen and are ready to forgive those who discredited their God, just as what Jesus taught them to do.

Who is to say he is the only one emphasized? Surely you are aware that things like this do happen in other countries concerning other religions?

Besides, you name 3 things. That is hardly every year.

Um, going out on a limb here but if ya live in a predominantly Christian culture, wouldn't that be expected? If you lived in a culture that was Buddhist, there would be shows about Buddha on. It's not a grand conspiricy Sparky

Christians = conservative = evil, in the minds of Hollywood and the media. They want to remind people of this every Easter or Christmas.
