My first husband became obsessively jealous and eventually it came between us permanently. As he became more unhappy with himself he became more jealous to the point of idiocy. There was never any reason for it. Once he got physical about it, he got the boot. No way our daughters would see that kind of crud!

Whereas me, I have been a second wife and did not understand why there should be jealousy at all when love is just right.

Jealousy is the result of emotional insecurity. It is just plain nasty. We do not own another person and there really is enough love in the world. Love begets love.

However, as a proper Muslim woman, I don't give my sweet anything to be jealous of. So long as I dress properly and TRY to be demur, (a real struggle at times!) he is happy.

Nope! If a person is going to cheat, they're going to cheat regardless of their partner's trying "to keep tabs" on them. If you love her, you won't cheat, end of story. If you cheat, then you two obviously weren't meant to be together and she's better off finding out now instead of later. Jealousy is a sign of immaturity and and insecurity. She either trusts you or she doesn't. Either way, you shouldn't feel the need to change just for her comfortability level.

Only if I thought it was reasonable. If your SO is always jealous and possessive for little reason, you will end up getting really sick of this behavior, and end the relationship.

Not much. If he's upset with me hanging out with other guys, well, too bad. I'm not sacrificing my social life for one other person.
