i know of the shampoos, but is there some type of one-time treatment to moisterize my head? Any lotions or gels or something i could put in there? Would body lotion work as long as i wash it out of my hair in an hourish type thing or is that really bad for my hair? What are some remedies you've done/heard of working?

Definitely T-Gel by Neutrogena, you'll see results fast, it worked for me. Try the Extra-Strenght one.

Use an anti-dandruff shampoo & conditioner. Also, go for conditioning treatments once a month at your nearest beauty hair salon.

If you want something really cheap, get half a cup of white vinegar and mix it with half a cup of water. Rinse your scalp and hair with it, leave it for a minute or so, then rinse it out, then shampoo and condition as normal. Cheap as, and it works really well.

Hello, I am a cosmetologist and I am asked this question frequently. One thing that we have found in my salon is to use sea breeze it is a facial astringent and is also used in pedicures to remove dryness from skin. You do not necessarily have to use the brand sea breeze any astringent will work. I use this on my own scalp and it works wonders!!

Try Tea-Tree Oil shampoo.
It's helping me alot! Rub it in good. Careful of the eyes!
They have a generic brand in Sally's. Not expensive at all!

MOP Glisten shampoo and conditioner....excellent.
wash your hair everyday...dandruff is only the skin on your scalp..flaking....
so brush your hair..and keep it conditioned.
