I had Hernia surgery the end of November 2006 to repair a small hernia. It was in my lower right abdomen. I am still in a lot of pain and my surgeon keeps dismissing my pain. He keeps telling me to ice it down and take Advil. I had blood work, urine, internal exam and CTSCAN post surgery. All of the test came back fine. I ended up in the E.R. last weekend because the pain was so bad. The E.R. Doctor and Surgeon at the hospital felt the mesh that was used to repair my Hernia through my skin, told me I felt tender and I had a small lump present. Their wasn't much they could have done at the time. Since that visit to the E.R. I had an MRI and waiting for my results. I have been in alot of pain since my surgery and not one day goes by that I don't have pain in the same spot my repair was done. Has anyone experienced this problem? To any medical people who may respond what could this constant pain be? Is this normal? Why pain 24-7? I can't take it anymore and don't know what to do. HELP!
