I'm irish and i don't like hot weather(don't know why?)i prefer wind and rain!?

I love rain and i hate hot's places.I seem to like cold places more.what's that all about??just curious?? smartass's welcome heh heh :)

IT'S ME AGAIN....I remember last summer, and in Corofin County Galway the heat from June until late September was almost unbearable, I ended up being as brown as a foreigner, and my poor wife, despite all the potions, lotions and oils and balms she was using to block the Sun from burning her shoulders were a complete waste of time and the money it cost to supply her with all that stuff.
now, she has heard that we are in for a similar Summer again this year, she is already stocking up on the best preparations money can buy for her, and none of is says it's for a man, but the Sun never seems to bother me at all, I just go brown and that's it, no irritations and our childrem all go brown too, my wife is such a paleface, she would be a great red indian, bless her. she is praying for frost snow ice and loads of wind and rain, and I can't help but try to convince her she may be better of living at the South Pole. I am seriously thinking about having her kitchen fitted with an Air Conditioning Unit, poor soul... 'Bye Tony M. ..............

Well it's 'cause you're accustomed to that nice mild temperate weather :)
I've been to Ireland twice, and I find the weather very refreshing (and it doesn't seem to rain as much as Ireland has a reputation for!) It seems like it can be raining one moment, and sunny the next. I also love the salt air; my friends there tell me it's why I never get my usual headaches when I'm there.
You'd suffer here in Michigan, Friend; we go from extremes of 100 degrees in summer to 30 below in winter! There's a lot to be said for a steady climate :)

Well, if you like wind and rain, then Ireland is the right place for you. I've been there 3 times from the U.S. and each time the weather was cold and rainy. I prefer a sunny day myself, but I can't stay away from your beautiful green country anyway.

I'm a native Californian born and raised...English, Dutch, French family heritage. I'm not Irish yet I also don't care for hot weather.
When I experience very hot or very cold weather it makes me uncomfortable and grumpy after awhile. San Francisco Bay Area is more my style...also Half Moon Bay along the beach. I even like the fog...It's mysterious and romantic to me.

Im Irish too and I have to say I dread the summer!!! I much prefer to be stuck inside listening to the rain lashing off the window (like tonight). I think it's because once you get hot,like during the summer,it's IMPOSSIBLE to cool down! but if its cold you can always warm up.

im irish 2 and i love the wind and rain during the week but when it comes to going out at the weekend i hate it!
Ireland would be a great country if we could only put a roof on it!

It's probably just that you are used to it and you have good memories associated with crap weather. I like a variety, I like rain and cold because you can snuggle up in bed and get warm, But wouldn't you ever like to go to a tropical beach somewhere and swim in the crystal blue waters, and laze around in the sun?

I'm irish decent and i get cold way too easily and hate it
ive got to have the heading on full blast and love hot countries lol

so i dont think its got anything to do with the irishness
unless it skips a generation
maybe youve become aclimatized to it lol

I'm English and I'm same as you, I`ve never been abroad (unless you`d call Ireland and Scotland abroad) or ever had any wish to.

The rain in Ireland is soft rain, and there`s nowt like walking down Corringeen Roe on a summers day with the soft rain falling on the fields and the wind on your back ahhh! heaven on earth

Cold/stormy weather is much more alive, would rather watch a storm, rain or snow than a perfect blue sky, it's nature
