Why do people go to church on sunday? the Bible says to go on the "seventh" day and ofcourse, that is saturday...the fourth commandment states" Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.

9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:

10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:

11 For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it."

THEN WHY DISOBEY THIS COMMANDMENT AND GO ON SUNDAY WHEN GOD TOLD US THAT SATURDAY IS THE HOLDY DAY OF REST.think about it...

I go on sundays of coarse and wednesday night for Bible study and volleyball. And if Im involved in a small group Ill meet with them whenever it is. Right now mine is on a monday.

The early church in Acts started meeting the first day of the week which is sunday and we have followed that model. It was approved by the apostles so who are we to argue and say thats wrong?

Christians dont follow Mosaic law, we are not ancient Jews. nor can we be justified by the law.

The command to observe the Sabbath was given to Israel Exclusively. It was not given to the Gentiles. It was given to Israel as the "Sign" of the "Mosaic Covenant.". The Sabbath Day then belongs to the Jews alone and is not binding on the Gentiles (the world), or the Church ( Christians). Nowhere in the Bible do you find God finding fault with any nation or people, except the Jewish nation, for not observing the Sabbath. <>

I'm sorry, but does it actually say in the bible that:

Chap. summat, v. doobrey
On Monday, the Lord did create light and darkness to set upon the land. 'Well,' thought the father upon his mighty throne, 'I think I'll call it a day now.'

Does it actually mention a day name anywhere?

I attend church because I love God and He has set Pastors in position to teach us the Word, which is conducive to our spiritual growth and I know the importance of fellow shipping with the saints of God.
