I started getting boobs at the age of 10. Ok,my sis and I were running and she gave me a bra she used 2 wear when she was 12 or 11.It fit fine, and she told me I could have the laced white one.I have her purple one,but I only wear it when my mom's not home. All my friends said I needed one,at least training kind since the 4th grade. My mom told me not to discuss it till I'm 11 or 12.I don't know.Mom's know best, but is she just a little wrong?

My mom did this to me, I had a very well developed chest by the time I was in the fifth grade. It`s hard to be teased and if you know you need a bra, PUSH the issue with your mom. Now, if you just have budding and a little chest development, I would just wear a tank top, or an undershirt. But that`s awfully nice of your sister to take care of you and to notice your discomfort. Maybe you can get your sister to try and help you convince your mom? My mom did this to me because she was uncomfortable with the fact that I was growing up so quickly.I just had my aunt take me out shopping for my birthday and I bought a couple of bras with the money she gave me, I know it`s a confusing time for you, it`s hard to have a stubborn parent....

Well. Mother's do know A LOT about the female body. But, there isnt a certain age for you to grow boobs. I have been wearing a bra since I was in the 3rd grade. Like at first, those small training bras that are like a tank top. Now, I am in more structured bras and I'm 17. If you have enough boobs, that people are noticing you need a bra, then you more than likely do. Just sit down with your mom and talk to her. I wish you the best!

Needing a bra isn't about your age. It's about your development. It's probably hard for your mom to think about her little girl growing up, but if you need to wear a bra, it's just a fact. Lots of girls your age wear bras. Try talking to your mom again. Tell her it's getting uncomfortable running around at recess and during p.e. Let her know that you're not just trying to act grown-up, but you really need one. Good luck!

In this situation, mom doesn't know best. Talk to her, say that you are different then your sister and you would like one. Tell her what kids have said too, that might help. She just doesn't want her little girl growing up.

Good for you to take it in your own hands and go to your sister too! That is grown up, and mature.

Talk to her about it. Show her you need it, sound likes she is in denial, and doesn't want her baby to grow up.
