My husband and i recently took custody of my youngest newphew. My sister drank while she was pregnant. He doesnt have fetal alcohol syndrome. But he does show signs of alcohol-related neurodevelopental disorder; stuborness, lack of concentration and behavioral problem.

There aren't any medications that specifically treat the fetal alcohol syndrome, but there are treatments for the various symptoms/behaviors that are associated with it-usually similar meds as used in the treatment of ADHD along with behavioral therapy.

A psychiatrist can evaluate your nephew and determine the appropriate diagnosis and treatment.
