It is very dangerous to leave your pets outside unsupervised. Although they will probably not dehydrate (since they are unable to sweat except through their foot pads) they will quickly overheat and have a heat stroke which can be FATAL. Since dogs/cats can't sweat, and can only pant, they get overheated MUCH QUICKER than we do and need to me constantly monitored outdoors and ALWAYS have plenty of fresh water available.

I would say it would depend on how long, the weather, is there shade available, is there shelter. Plenty of food and water at all times. But I myself would never leave a puppy unattended for very long. Remember, dogs are pack animals and they need to be with their pack...you, and the family. Plus in my area, someone would steal the puppy right from the yard. I keep my pit bull in the house unless we are going out for his business and a walk.

Hi jellolov...,

The only time this can be huge issue is in hot weather, though cooler in the shade sometimes the heat can be too much not only causing dehydration but heat stroke as well, in which case you could lose the pet. There are underlying medical conditions that can cause a dog not to eat or drink despite food and water being provided. Besides being obviously worried about obstruction, you have to be concerned about distemper and parvo both life threatening and contagious to other dogs. If there is any concern what so ever please take the dog to the vet.

Sincerely,

Alice H.

Yes, but this can happen anytime, inside or outside. Being outside all day is exposing them more to the environment so be sure your puppy has plenty of fresh water every day you put it out, especially if it's hot. Also, try a very shallow, small wading pool if you have the room. She will be just fine!! Dogs are very resilient.

NO, it is not o.k. to leave an 8 week previous domestic dog, no longer to point a border collie domestic dog on my own. except you opt for that attractive little domestic dog to tutor right into a MONSTER. Border collies are a particular breed, and that they are not acceptable to all people. they are extremely clever, and in case you do no longer supply them a job while they are small, they'll decide a job to do, and you won't consider the profession that they %.. they could grow to be very damaging, very quickly. Now for the climate. i do no longer recognize what 21 exterior is, yet 21 ranges Celsius equals sixty 9 ranges Fahrenheit, and that temperature isn't too extreme the two way. this question has merely been asked, and that's June, so maybe you survive the different hemisphere and that's wintry climate down decrease than. Regardless, the domestic dog is merely too youthful to be left on my own. that's like leaving a 6 month previous youngster by way of itself. might you are attempting this? in all probability no longer. If this question comes from the actuality the will arises bypass off to artwork and leave the canines all by way of itself, wide-unfold, all day, then maybe that's quite helpful to re-examine the canines possession ingredient over, and convey this domestic dog decrease back to the breeder. Border collies actual could desire to be on ranches working, or with people who artwork them daily inclusive of agility, fly-ball, handbook-canines, help canines, or in quite expert palms inclusive of expert palms inclusive of seek and rescue workers etc. This comes from their could desire to artwork as I in the previous stated. If their guy or woman intensity point is low adequate (uncommon with Border Collies) they may well be ok in some abode situations, yet no longer all, as with every breed. I even have 3 border collies, and my perfect buddy is a coach/breeder, so i'm particularly familiar with the breed, and what can ensue if issues are no longer achieved exact with them. I even have viewed various canines be decrease back to her, because of the fact she has a clause that declares for any reason she would be able to take the canines decrease back, so she gets them decrease back while they are having subject concerns at abode - like destroying their decrease back yards because of the fact they are left on my own. good success. Do you self a desire, try this canines a desire, and the two replace your time table, come across an afternoon care, or a sparkling abode on your 8 week previous domestic dog.

you mean "dehydrated"? I say yes, in fact in Palm Beach COunty Florida where I live it is against the law to chain a dog outside. Dogs need cool water, just like you do. If they have a safe kennel and a cool water bucket then you will probably be ok. There is a special nozzle that attaches to your outside faucets that when the dog licks it or touches it it starts to drip. If you are concerned buy one of those they aren't too expensive. I would never leave my dog outside. Too many mosquitos, too many ants, fleas, dog thieves -- but that is just me. Good luck -k-

If it's warm out side or even hot then yes she can still get dehydrated.
She should have clean water all day long and plenty of shade, even a dog house can get very, very hot inside, but if it too hot out side then bring her in.

As long as your puppy knows were the water is and it is in a shady spot, it shouldn't be too much of a problem.
