I used to have 2 10" Sony Xplod subs and 2 500w Sony Xplod amps, and it was.. okay. It wasn't amazingly nice by any means, but if you listen mainly to rock it wouldn't be so bad. I upgraded to 2 12" Hifonics and 1000w Pioneer amp and it's better any I got them way cheaper than the Sonys, my buddy started working at a stereo shop though, so I'm not sure how much they'd run retail.

Overall.. Kicker and JL are probably the best I've heard, as well as durable.

Sony rates all of its speakers and amps at 2 ohms and makes its itself look better by doing so but the truth of the matter is most speakers are made at 6 ohms so you are only getting one third of the power you paid for.

Good god. I just recently bought some xplod speakers for my car. I'm not even wasting time putting them in because they sound crappy.

damn stay away from xplod products. go with kicker speakers and amp and subs. they last and have great sound quality and the subs pound.

Not sure what people are on about, I've had my Sony XM-2200GTX 1200 watt amp for 3 years without one single problem.

I can't say anything about their subs, as I have Blaupunkts, but...
