i want to get toned weights..

is it true less weight helps ur arms tone better then heavy weight???

Sort of. The only way to get "toned" is to lose weight. Higher reps with less weights burns slightly more calories. The best way to tone up is to diet and do cardio ALONG with a normal weight routine.

yes, more repetitions and less weight helps tone muscles. this is why women tend to lift weights in this manner. if you want to bulk up and build lots of muscle, use more weight and fewer reps.

I have read in Muscle and Fitness magazine that lighter weights and slower reps, making a pyramid of the numbers, is best.

Yet I would look to what you want to do in life. Do you want to just look good, or do you want to be able to lift more, fight harder, or what?

yes... high Reps with low weight is more for a Tone than bulk.
