I was wondering if there are any groups that give financial aid to small churchs in need? My small church of less than 60 people is in need of a new roof and I was wanting to know if there are grants or foundations we might contact for help on this project. Perhaps someone knows of a web site with listings?

No.

It is too easy to form a church that "needs" things, collect the cash and vanish in your 2007 Cadillac. The crooked ministers have spoiled things for you honest ones. How long would a web site that offered free money to people last?

You'll have a hard time getting a construction loan, too; banks are afraid the minister will run off with the choir director, everyone will abandon the church for another and they will have to foreclose on a church building they can't sell.
