I found this pic (sorry it's a little fuzzy) in the Feb/March issue of Brides magazine. It says they are made by THREAD (but they cost nearly $400 online and we are NOT paying that much for a bridesmaid dress!) But I love the style and I'm sure there is something similar to it somewhere else! I have 4 bridesmaids and I want the dresses to be some shade of blue.

Do you know where I can find something like this style? I have looked at David's Bridal and online at other stores.

Any ideas of where to look or should I just have them made?

Thanks in advance!
;)

Definitley find a good seamstress and have them made. I just got married Feb 24th and that is what I did. I saved all my girls money AND they looked better than the one that I used as my example. the girls liked it too because haveing a dress made just for you always looks great!

Personally unless your attendants are fashion model thin i dont think the style is very flattering. Sorry I see all kinds of issues like are all of your attendants pregnant, do they all have different body types, dancing and top falling off etc...If one of your attendants is pregnant and needs a maternity style dress they make maternity dresses very similar to bridesmaids dresses without all of the attendants having to look pregnant or the pregnant one not fitting into a "regular" dress. there are other styles also that have a more forgiving shape. I would go with a halter or strapped dress or even cap sleeves and an empire waist which allows the dress to flow over "curves and bumps"

Think Marilyn Monroe the famous white halter syle dress here area few that can be worn on all figures they also have your strapless style

specific, David's bridal does have a good determination...additionally, quite some brides are choosing a coloration and having the bridesmaids get distinctive outfits interior an identical coloration (or colours of the marriage) so your maid of honor ought to %. a gown from any keep as long because of the fact the colour fits. That way it would not might desire to be from a bridal keep in case you won't be able to locate something you like there...purely be sure you get a fabric swatch for each individual.

Any 'empire cut' dress in a light flowy fabric should work. Should be at any bridal salon. If you find a different dress you like the salon seamstress should be able to make the dress fit maternity. You'll probably need to buy a little more fabric from the salon and get the pregnant bridesmaid meassured. Here are a few examples:

Try Victoria's Bridal Collection on line. Also what you can do is look up formal maternity dresses for wedding. You may find something there. Also do a search on: Empire Waist Cocktail Dresses or Empire Waist Bridesmaid Dresses. Try these and see what comes up. Best of Luck.

That's an expensive dress due to all the pleats in the chiffon. Lots of labor. I would take it to a seamstress and ask them how much. It's not very flattering on the other woman though... they all look pregnant so it's prob not a popular style.

I think you had best keep looking. The dress is not flattering, let alone to a pregnant woman. And, your Maid of Honour is obviously no longer a "maid" - she has officially been promoted to MATRON, as she is pregnant.

I just give them the pictures of the dresses or clothes then the materials to use. they are wholesalers too.
