dose anyone knows how to switch from english to spanish on window xp service pack one? what i need is for my roommate to be able to read start menu and dialog everything in spanish I think I need a service pack 2 to do that I tried everything on control panel but no luck. is there a setting or do I need to download a softwaare in order view everything in spanish language? I am trying to set a muitlanguage on his laptop now. ifyou can help thankyou Matt once again it is a window xp home edition service pack 1

MLP Microsoft Language Pack or something like that, I forget with SP it requires, just search Microsoft Language Packs.

microsoft.com downloads - has 30 or so downloads for different languages. Click on start - then click on all programs - then Microsoft update to get there faster. You can then have microsoft scan for updates and the languages will be at the bottom of the downloads list. Should not need service pack 2 for language download.

You need SP2, and it's free. If your XP is legal, call Microsoft and they will send you a free SP3 CD, and probably help you figure this out.

try searching for language packs on search engines.
Windows doesn't have the service by default
