GM (actually more directly Chevy) is Dale's manufacturer sponsor. They didn't actually build his car. The car was built by DEI racing. His race team built the car. The car has to be associated with a manufacturer and Chevy is who the association is with. The car has to be shaped like a Chevy Monte Carlo, carry logos of Chevy, and have an engine block that was produced by Chevy.

Okay...here goes...

Dale Jr drives a Chevy during the races. Chevy is owned by GM. However...all of the race cars are built by the teams back at the race teams shop...not be the car manufacturer.

GM mostly supplies their name and some parts to the teams. The teams do all of the work themselves on the cars.

Auto manufacturers GM, Ford, Chevrolet, Pontiac, and Toyota merely provide their name and some car parts for NASCAR race teams. The race teams make their own rolling chassis and sheet metal to cover the chassis. Most teams buy their engines from a particular engine builder. For instance, Robert Yates Racing make engines for several race teams. The have a successful recipe so the race teams that buy their engines can focus on other aspects of racing. Hope this helps.

Yes and No. It's actually Chevrolet that supplies the bodies for Jr's cars. But that is about it - other than a whole bunch of sponsorship money.

Once the body arrives to DEI, it is then fabricated by the team. You should check out the DEI homepage (link listed below) for further information. The Chevrolet racing site also provides information.

Hope this helps!

No. Chevy is his manufacturer sponsor. Chevy, or GM, really has nothing to do with the car. It's just money for the team.

The cars Junior drive are built at DEI.GM-Chevrolet sponsors him for carring their name and being brand loyal.

you dont really watch nascar a lot do you? no ones car is built by a direct car brand. they are built by a team from the ground up. the car might have all chevy parts (not likely) but it still isn't "built" by chevy.
