Older cat has infection in eye?

Question

We do not have the money to take to the Vet. am giving 10MG / Lb. body weight for seven days. Is there anything else we can do for her but put her down?

Get a warm damp washcloth and dap the eyes until the crust around the eyes is gone do this whenever the cat gets more in his/her eyes.

What? You are thinking of putting your cat down because of an eye infection? That is ridiculous. You did not say what you were giving 10mg/lb body weight. If there is an eye infection you need to get eye drops FROM A VET!!!!!

Look, take the cat to the vet and he'll prescribe the right kind of antibiotics for the cat's eye infection. It will NOT cost you a great deal of money. The antibiotic costs less than what you would pay to have the cat put down. Are you mad? Should you be put down becuase of an eye infection?

If you can't afford to take care of your pet you shouldn't own one. It's not fair for the animal. An eye infection is a such a common thing, that's simple to fix.......... if you go to a vet

i had medicine i had for my eye when i had pink eye and it got my cats eye infection gone,,,now i have put away 40.00 dollars in the bank in case my sweetie gets sick and needs meds again,,,,,I'm a single mom but we as pet owners have to have an emergency fund if our pets have an illness to get them well. i gave up coffee so that's where my money came from and it took 2months to save it,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

once my cat had eye-infection and y used my eye drops called Patanol and it cure the infection...so now I know that it works.
