The Yaris is the weakest competitor in its class. Read all this general stuff about Toyota and I will get back to you later about the Yaris specifically so dont close the question. I have info that will really help you decide. http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AhWZS9QFhDhS22cn3rRJ98rsy6IX?qid=20070301210328AAn8E5d

Hokay, im back. Here is Smart Moneys test of small compacts. http://www.smartmoney.com/autos/newcars/index.cfm?story=december2006 The Yaris got dead last with 2 stars, Nissan Versa third with 2.5 stars, Chevy Aveo sedan second with 3 stars and of course, the Honda Fit won with 3.5 stars. In the first link I gave you there are also Car and Driver and MotorWeek awards, in which the Fit also won best small car in both. Toyota also has a huge engine sludge problem http://www.consumeraffairs.com/automotive/toyota_engine.html I could go on and on about why you shouldnt buy a Toyota, especially the cheapest one.

It's true, when I want to see a yaria liftback at the dealers, they just say they only have the four door sedan version. You should ask them when the liftback might come in.

Finding a used one will be next to impossible, the people that buy these great little cars are not the type that want to hop from car to car rather they are budget conscious and will drive them till they just won't go anymore. They do there homework because they intent to drive them for a long time, plus they're reliable and no reason to get rid of them. The dealer will gladly take your down payment for a new one but you may have to wait for one.

Call around to local dealerships. Last month, I just walked right onto my local Toyota dealership and found several on the lot. I bought the sedan though, not the liftback.

Your mom and dad are incorrect. there is little if any resale distinction in any shade different than in line with possibility yellow or orange. it is your motor vehicle...in case you pick the white one, get it. A motor vehicle is purely too costly to compromise on. Get what you pick...you will purely wash it greater in many circumstances and thats good for the motor vehicle besides.
