Lots of so-called prophets back then were similar. They had similar stories written about them because they came from similar cultures. There was a certain "template" for prophets and gods, certain things were expected of them. So, that's how they were written about.

There were many more people back then who had things attributed to them like Jesus did, even coming back from the dead. In Jesus' case, it helped that he was dead for a several centuries before people started writing about him. That way more grandiose stories could be made up and people couldn't confirm or deny them.

It is similar to how Hollywood keeps recycling old plots that are well-known to this culture. For example, there are countless variations on Shakespeare's plays in modern films.

You're thinking of Ra, not Horus. Ra had a number of Jesus-like traits. Horus didn't.

But Krishna and Mithra are both far closer to Jesus. This is probably a result of syncretism and cultural cross-pollination.

Jesus was a real man, who really walked this earth, and who really was crucified. Lets start with that. any educated scientist or historian will acknowledge this fact. Even atheists. Horus and Ra and Osiris and Isis and all the others were imaginary, mythological figures, and there is no historical evidence backing it up. people who refuse to even acknowledge Jesus' existence are in denial.

What about Bob? You didn't ask about Bob. He may have many similarities, such as he had people washing his feet and combing his beard.

Why you just ask about Horus?

I can see similarities between certain people I know and a mud puppy. I don't on this basis alone assume a relationship.
Have you considered the differences far outweigh the similarities?
