Need help Bad. Can anyone find ANYTHING of a listing for a death in 1893-1894 for a HIRSCH or Harry or Harris Siegel or Segall, etc. that died in the USA between New York and Wisconsin. We want to find where hes buried, etc. He is my dads grandpa and we cant find anything on him. Geneologists or anyone, PLEASE help. His wife was named Anna or Channe. He was Jewish. He died between Nov. 1893 and Aug. 1894 SOMEWHERE in the USA from New York to Wisconsin.. he was born in Lithuania about 1850-1860. ANY listings wed SO appreciate or help. PLEASE.

In your last post I found your Harry/Harris/Hirsch using the name Jacob. He was married to Anna and had all the same kids as you listed in your query. It also says that he and his wife were married at the time for 22 years and that he worked for a furniture company.

Try the United States Census . Also go to the Ellis Island passenger ship manifests . Be aware that names are not always in the correct spelling , and you may have to play around with different variations in spelling .You may have to pay for the census ; but not the Ships passenger manifests . Also , look up Jewish genealogy organizations .

I've looked on Ancestry.com for you. There are several possibilities but I didn't see any one record that jumped out at me. Ancestry.com offers a free trial for 2 weeks. You may have more success than me because you would know other details that aren't posted here. For example. In a census record you may see the children (your relatives) listed and know right off that he is your guy. If you want to add to the info I can check again, but I do suggest the trial.
