British..are you.
Anyway I really don't know conversion of stones into pounds , I think it is 16.

Anyway Fruit & fibre??? is that a cereal?

It doesn't matter what you eat during a day as far as weight loss goes, it matters about Energy in Verses Enery out.

To lose weight you have to take in less calories than you expend in normal body functioning, and any excercise of any kind.

Find a web site that shows how much calories is needed for someone your weight and sex and age to consume to stay the same weight. Then buy a calorie counter book and a scale and track what you eat as in calories.

if you consume less calories then you expend you will lose weight.

For example... if the chart says for someone your weight & sex & height, need 2,000 calories a day, and you are carefull about what you eat, and only consume 1500 a day, you will lose weight.

If you consume 2000 calories a day, and increase your excercise , you will lose weight, But excercise does not use up a lot of calories ( think walk 1/2 hour is 80 calories)

It is simple, more engery expended than energy consumed , equals weight loss.

Not so simple, making it happen, and keeping to it.

If you only eat a bowl of fruit and fiber you'll end up going to the hospital, not vacation. You should try to avoid things you use to eat and were fattening. try adding a salad to every meal of the day, no breakfast-this should stay fruit and fiber but a small bowl- and a smaller portion of meat or protein. Avoid consuming white bread and pasta and try some wild rice. Eat fruits or a low fat yogurt with fruits whenever you want something sweet. If you drink coffee have it without sugar or a little bit of it and not sweeteners or anything like that-it causes water retention. Use fat free diary products. For your salads use only olive oil and just a tablespoon for each salad. For dressings and better taste use balsamic vinegar, soy sauce or teriyaki sauce/marinade-the last one tastes really good and is less salty than soy. Steam or grill the food that needs process and add olive oil when done with cooking, not during. Avoid sodas & colas and try having some green tea instead, not canned lipton's cause it has too much sugar. If you want a drink prefer white wine or beer, even champagne and not hard or mixed drinks. that way i put down quite some weight in no time. The important thing, when on a diet is to make your self realise your in a new way of living- it's going to be better after a while- and not on a diet, so that you won't crave for chocolates or fies. After achieving your goal you can slowly add some things you want in your new diet one by one. You can then have fries but with a salad and not a burger, you can have pasta with anything and actually eat anything but always with a salad next to it. you'll see, it's not too hard, it's good for your body and skin.
