I have 2 cars, a plain 7 year old vauxhall and a 2 year old beemer, I don't seem to get noticed in my Vauxhall but I seem to attract all sorts of unwanted attention when driving my Beemer, I guess this is because people are jealous ? In my Beemer I'm always getting cut up and people never seem to let me out of junctions, it doesn't really bother me because I just sit back with a smug look on my face knowing that others wish they too could have a lovely car like mine

It's nothing to do with jealousy of the car. There are some far more superior cars around than BMWs and their drivers earn and receive respect.

It's a sad fact that a significant majority of BMW drivers behave in a selfish and arrogant manner as soon as they get behind the wheel. They seem to think that they get a free mile of road with every car. Therefore every BMW gets tarred with the same brush.
In your case the "smug look" that you boast about probably only reinforces that opinion.

Incidentally, even in Berlin they think BMW drivers are arrogant and discourteous to other road users. That's probably why most Germans who want a 'nice' car drive Mercs or Lexus.

"I just sit back with a smug look on my face knowing that others wish they too could have a lovely car like mine"

They think you are an a-hole. The problem with people who own BMW's is that they don't drive them they way they are intended. They use them as status symbols and rolling furniture. No matter what kind of BMW you own, it is a performance car, not a car for some smug moron to drive back and forth to work in everyday while he drinks his tea. Maybe if you were up tearing up the backroads you get a little more respect.

Are all conservatives as 2-confronted as those adult adult males are? ANY front-runner in this contemporary crop of applicants has been attacked mercilessly by skill of the others, do you spot a development interior the GOP nomination race? Is that a mirrored image on ALL conservatives? concept, Benjamin. concept.

Because there are not enough Mercedes drivers where you do your driving. Personally, I reserve the old scroogie tactics for them. Now if there were a shortage, then maybe I would go for the Beemers instead.

I saw the ultimate oxymoron recently: a BMW taxi driving safely. It's been screwing with my brain ever since.

The thing about BMW drivers is that eveyone knows that the car is on the mortgage. This is because people who can actually afford a nice car go for something functional.

You answered your own question, the smug look on your face just reinforces the fact that you are an a-hole. It has nothing to do with the car. You don't earn respect based on the car you drive.

The car is the problem. So many of them are driven by arrogant tossers you are being tarred wth the same brush. Once you've sold it, give me a shout with a budget and I will point you in the direction of several options that will make you feel that good without the negative press.
