Because after they have finished to save you, they hope to stay for brunch. Always keep a little woolen sack of loose buttons next to your table, and pour that buttons on the table once the JWs are seated.

Explain to them that each button is a dead soul, and then show them that you mean business by smashing all the buttons with a hammer.

Have a pot of boiling water going, and shovel the smashed buttons into the pot. Ask them if you can make lunch for them. Tell them 25 times in a low tone of voice, 'I am not crazy, but I need to get outside more.'

Then take three amaretto cookies and break them. Crumble the cookies slowly into your mouth. Let the crumbs fall on your chest. Close your eyes, squeeze your head, and begin to hop, while you make noises like a sick dog. Tell them you have been bad and you need jehovah to lend you $5 for a bus ride.

That is a reasonable time and we usually find people at home, not just on Saturday's, but also during the other days of the week. We are commissioned to seek out meek like ones who are sighing and groaning over all the detestable things that are being done on this inhabited earth.--Matthew 28:19, 20; Ezekiel 9:4. The Bible contains the answers to mankind's problems. It is a personal decision to each individual if he/she wants to listen to Bible truths.

we also come by your home during the week also. we are doing what Jesus Christ commanded us at Matthew 28 verse 19 and 20. many people are home at ten in the morning. nine o'clock in the morning people are just getting up and we don't want to bother you at that time. we cannot change your religion that is between you and Jehovah. they laughed at Noah when he was building the ark and when Jehovah closed the door of the ark, he destroyed the wicked not the earth, and he will do it again by destroying the wicked not the earth. revelation tells us only 144,000 of the anointed are going to heaven to rule with Jesus Christ in heaven, but it also tell of the meek that shall live on earth forever. why would Jehovah destroy something that he made just because Adam and Eve disobeyed him and we are born into sin.

because nine is too early....
Jehovahs Witnesses call on people every day,at different hours. The idea being to try and find people who are wanting to know the truth about Jesus and Jehovah.Jehovah's Witnesses do this in harmony with Christ's command found at Mat.28:19,20.Jesus himself did a preaching work similiar to this and taught his disciples to do the same....
This work is also being accomplished in fulfillment of Matt.24:14 which states:"This good news of the KIngdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth, for a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come"

Jehovahs witnesses are some of the nicest people you will ever meet. They want to spread the word about what they believe and get others involved if they want to be involved but they don't want to push anything on anyone. Sometimes I wonder why we as christians give them such a hard time instead of praying that they will see the light. If christians were as good at reaching out as Jehovahs witnesses are well then maybe Jehovahs witnesses wouldn't be so confused about what the truth really is.

We knock on your door at 10 on saturday am because it is a time we are most likely to find you home. We also knock in the afternoon and on every day of the week, not just Saturday.

Why do we knock? Because Jesus commanded his followers to "go therefore and make disciples". The apostle Paul also preached from door to door to spread the message of Christ.

We do not like to wake people up or be an inconvenience; but we feel the message of Christ is important enough to take that chance.

So you've heard it from the 'horses mouth'. =)

Too many so-called "Christians" view their religion as a social club rather than as a way of life which should influence every action the adherent takes. Too many so-called "Christians" do not give any real evidence of taking their so-called "faith" seriously and understanding that it obligates them to do Christ's work.

Perhaps these so-called "Christians" are ignorant that the bible most closely associates being "Christian" with PREACHING about Christ and Christ's teachings. Review all three times the bible uses the term "Christian" and note that the context connects the term with:
"declaring the good news"
'teaching quite a crowd'
'open eyes, turn from dark to light'
"uttering sayings of truth"
"persuade"
"keep on glorifying"

(Acts 11:20-26) [The early disciples of Jesus] began talking to the Greek-speaking people, declaring the good news of the Lord Jesus... and taught quite a crowd, and it was first in Antioch that the disciples were by divine providence called Christians.

(Acts 26:17-28) [Jesus said to Paul] I am sending you, to open their eyes, to turn them from darkness to light and from the authority of Satan to God... Paul said: “I am not going mad, Your Excellency Festus, but I am uttering sayings of truth and of soundness of mind. ...Do you, King Agrippa, believe the Prophets? I know you believe.” But Agrippa said to Paul: “In a short time you would persuade me to become a Christian.”

(1 Peter 4:14-16) If you are being reproached for the name of Christ, you are happy... But if he suffers as a Christian, let him not feel shame, but let him keep on glorifying God in this name

Sadly, so-called "Christians" try to hijack the term "Christian" and hide its Scriptural implications. Yet, the preaching work makes it clear that the relatively small religion of Jehovah's Witnesses are by far the most prominent followers of Christ:

(Matthew 28:19,20) Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded

This is the time when most people are home.
We knock on doors because we want to respect what Jesus told us to do in Matthew 28:19,20 - "Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded YOU."
"However, how will they call on him in whom they have not put faith? How, in turn, will they put faith in him of whom they have not heard? How, in turn, will they hear without someone to preach?" - Romans 10:14

That is when they figure you are home. They have a habit of doing the same houses in a pattern. Makes it easy to have the gun ready. Trust me, they don't come back if they think you are a crazy redneck.
