Eliminate salt and drink about 60 to 80 ounces of pure water a day.
Don't eat anything with refined sugar or refined flour in it.

Eat only fresh fruits and vegetables in reasonable quantities.

For protien, try eggs, skim cheeses, tofu, fish, and poultry such as turkey and chicken.

No fried foods. Baked, steamed, broiled, boiled or raw are the methods to use to prepare your foods.

No diet drinks. Really. Drink water, herbal tea, skim milk, soya milk (without sugar in it).

Exercise at your present fitness level. Don't overdo it.
I can't guarantee you will lose 5 pounds in one week, but the weight loss you have will be safely done.

most nutritionists and doctors say no more than 2lbs a week for it to be safe...it is possible to lose a couple pounds in water weight in a short period of time. this is what a lot of boxers and wrestlers do to make weigh ins, i would just fear dehydrating myself...so if you are looking for quick go the water route, however it gains back once you properly hydrate youself. but i must warn u to ask a DOCTOR what would be a safe amount without health problems.

but anything worth having is worth working for and the real way should be a proper diet and excerise. roughly 3500 extra calories is one pound of fat so cutting out or burning off about 500calories a day will result in one pound of weight lose at the end of the week

Cabbage Diet.

Cabbage - 1/2 (sliced)
Tomatoes (Tinned x 1)
Mushrooms (10 sliced)
Leek (1 sliced)
Red Pepper (1 sliced)
Yellow Pepper (1 sliced)
Red Onion (2 small sliced)
Whack it all in a pan and cook it up with a little water until like a soup.I always add garlic and worcestershire sauce 'cause it's pretty tasteless by day four!

On day one and two, you can eat as much of this as you want to. Hot or cold.

Day three. Have a great big baked spud for tea with a little butter with salad - lettuce, tomatoes, onion, peppers, spring onions. Have as much of the soup as you want.

Day four. Soup again.

Day five. Soup again. And have a great big steak for your tea tonight. As big as you want! With salad - lettuce, tomatoes, onion, peppers, spring onions.

Day six. Soup.

Day seven. Soup and weigh yourself. Be amazed and now stop and go back to normal eating habits.

Go on the banana diet...U just eat banana's straight for 4 days...without anything else, and drink water. Also, if you do jogging every morning (or evening etc) then that will help shift it!
