yourself. btw, the fire isn't too bad yet, so you or your 5 year old toddler won't die of smoke inhalation if one of you go get her.

Also, the fire is the result of your unintelligently designed indoor barbeque pit.

Neither. Screw the wife, I'm rescuing my CD collection.

But seeing as this is a Jesus analogy, then yes, I go in myself. congratulations, you've found another logical or ethical flaw in Christianity. Chuck it on the heap.

First of all, God didn't send a toddler. Jesus was a full grown man of 29 when he took on the mantle of messiah.

Now to understand why he sent Jesus is a simple thing. Adam was a perfect man ... a human when he disobeyed God. In order to balance the scales of perfect justice it was necessary for another perfect man, Jesus, to prove his loyalty to death. Cruel? Why? He was dead for 3-1/2 days and was then resurrected back to heavenly glory next to his father. BTW, it's a sign of God's love that he gave up his only begotten son. Any other angel would have done. He should be thanked, not mocked.

There is no question to who would go in to my wife if she is my wife then she is my responsibility first before even my own child.
I hope this is a fictitious question?
And about the joker who insults Christanity well if you read your scriptures Jesus stept forward to take on the job that needed to be done and I am sure if any good Son was to exist and he say the need he would also step forward to save who he could.

I can see why this wouldn't make sense to you. But you need to look at things from the large point of view.

Before the world was created, our Heavenly Father called a council of all his children, including you and me. In that coucil he presented his plan for us. The plan was for us to come to Earth, gain a physical body like he has, and return to live with him again.

Our Heavenly Father has already gone to an Earth and gained a body, and followed a plan just like this one.

Christ had yet to. In the council, he asked for one who would volunteer to die for the sins of the world, Christ stood and said he would.

So, I hope this dosen't offend you, but the anology you are using is a totally different thing.

one has nothing to do with the other.
Jehovah allowed Jesus to take on human form and die as a ransom sacrifice in order to free mankind from enslavement to sin and death. As Adam was a perfect man,no one on earth could have filled those shoes,so to speak.
Jesus has now opened the way for obedient mankind to excercise faith in that ransom and have the wonderful hope of everlasting life, which is what Adam lost for all of us.
Notwithstanding that,Jehovah God has rewarded Christ with immortality in Heaven as King of his Kingdom, and given Jesus all authority over the heavens and the earth.
You really would do well to have a Bible study with Jehovahs Witnesses before you starting running down something you know nothing about.

Seeing you left the woman to deal with the crisis on her own (I'm sure she's used to it by now), she doesn't need your help. She has phoned the fire and police department, and is saving the cat you also forgot about. She also phoned her Lawyer, you will be recieving divorce papers before the day is out.

I would get her, because I'd be the dumb-*** who caused the fire. Plus, I would rather my son live on to pass on my name and blood then have him and my wife die while I wait outside like a jerk.

You could either sit there and ponder the will of god, or you could tell your 5 year old kid to not move from the curb as you go in and save fluffy and your wife.

Ah I see. It's a comparison to God sending down his child to rescue the "Sins" of man. Nice

Sounds like you're an idiot, and if you have any decency, you go in yourself.
But what if you were incapable and your son was an able bodied youth who could? And he offered?
But overall, good way to put it.
