Probably not but it would hurt.

LOL.
No, not at all, and neither would a penny!

Odds are the tumbling coin would barely break the skin, factoring in the light weight, and flat shape. The traveling speed would be about 280 feet per second when it hit the ground.
Large hailstones sting, but do not pierce you, when you think about it........... so how could a marshmallow?

It's just an old legend.

The empire state construction is 381 metres severe. that is more suitable than sufficient time for a penny to achieve terminal velocity. If the the penny were to then hit someone on the genuine it may more suitable than easily kill them from the impression. more suitable to the point, why could you've a penny contained in the u . s .?

well, if i was the one dropping it off the empire state building, it would never kill me cuz id be at the top and it would land on the ground.

but if it were reworded, no, it wouldn't kill anybody because its too soft. it would drop with the same amount of speed as anything else would, but since it doesn't really weight anything, it wouldn't pick up enough force to kill anyone.

if u dropped a penny down the building it could split a person in half. i think a marshmellow would do a lot of damage to a persons head tho. i wouldnt want it to happen to me thats for sure.

If you dropped the marshmallow, it will fall faster than you can get down to the street level so it cannot land on your head.

Seriously, I don't think a marshmallow has enough mass to hurt you. Most of it is air.

I don't think so.....but it definately would leave a mark. That building is like a 1,000 feet high and when you drop the marshmellow it will gather enough speed to leave a mark.

Yes it would, because if you dropped it, you would have to jump off to get to the ground before it landed.
If someone else dropped it & it landed on your head, I don't think it would harm you at all.

Probably not, since the marshmallow is so light (air-puffed) that it wouldn't reach terminal velocity, and the wind would blow it around. It might even just blow away instead of falling straight down!

Marshmallow's aren't very dense and won't get a very high top speed. Just think if you throw a marshmallow at someone as hard as you can, will it hurt them?

no, because the marshmellow is squishy. now a penny, on the other hand, is hard. and that can kill someone.
