You are trapped in a room with 2 doors. One door leads to death and the other leads to freedom. At the other end of the room are 2 guards. One always lies and the other always tell the truth.
If you can only ask one question, to one guard only; what would the question be to ensure absolute certainty of the door to freedom?

Which door will the other guard tell me to go through if I asked which lead to freedom?
The Liar would say whichever door lead to do death, as would the Truth-Teller. You would go through whichever door the guards did not say.

Ask the guard that tells the truth, "Is this the door that leads to freedom?" If he says no, then go through the other door. If he says yes, go through that door.

ummm ive heard this b4 but i forgot so id have to say id ask the one guard what color is his shirt and if he is guarding the door to freedom.

ok, my husband is saying the 2 negatives do not make a right so.....he would ask one gaurd what the other guard would say is the right door to go out.

the one who lies-i'd ask which one i should go to. the one who tells the truth will leave out detailes.
