I think you are a religious bigot. And Lebanon is such a bright shining example of a well run democracy without any problems....right?

The USA would be a better place if it let go of its bizarre attraction to death cults like Christianity, and was a more secular country, like the rest of the civilized world.

Which of the US presidents have ever said they were not Christians. Even then, how do you know someone is really a Christian - just because they say so?

The improved morality of the country will not come from the top down. There is no such thing as trickle down morality. Morality will come from the bottom - the we, the us. When we take moral stances then the morality of this country will improve. When the church becomes more active in doing good works than politics, the moral fiber of this country will improve.

That was a recent prayer of mine, for Christians to become president in Islamic countries, but I haven't heard it happen. Lebanon had many Christians before, but Muslims are trying to take it over.

When Islam takes over a land, many Christians get killed if they don't submit to Islamic supremacy, or Christians get falsely accused of something.

Can you send your source?

How could that be in a constitution? One wouldn't know if the person was Christian or not. An Imam could say he is a Christian. It's OK to lie for the cause of Islam.

While we have had only a handful of non Christian presidents, this country was founded on religious freedom. To make such a law would go against the very Constitution that provides us with our cherished freedoms.

I'm also not too keen on the theoretical 'morality' of a lot of Christians.

DEFINATELY NOT!!!
Anyways, the Church and State are supposed to be separate! If only Christians could become presidents, how do you think everyone else would feel? You'd get another Taliban, except in the USA, that would try to overthrough the government,
And, being a peace-loving Christian, you wouldn't want that, would you?

It would be better if the law was just the opposite of that idea. Replace the word only with no. If that happened I might actually stop helping people get into the country under the radar, as it were.

Only Christians can become president in Lebanon?

I think that you are mixing church with state. And no, it would NOT and could not improve the morality of the country. Besides, it would make people become xtians just to be president. And all the other religious group's people would be offended and lynch him, and then the rule would break down anyhow.

I believe you are totally unaware of how this country was founded and what many people died for. People came to this country initailly for freedom of religion. To be able to worship as they felt was right. This was against the law in England..( which was Christian by the way)..However, religion is strictly monitored in other countries and do exactly as you are suggesting....it's called communism. Look it up. Don't encourage this kind of ignorance.

I think not, I have known some Christians you would think were the best person you have met. They owned their own co. went to church two to three times a week, led a youth group, and much more. Then was busted for selling cocaine out of hid co. in the parts. Also new a Preacher who worked for a security co., went back and picked up contracts he had sold for one co. and gave them contracts through another. He also ran the company credit card to the max and gave the company car to girl friend.
