For example,

All the churches I have been in mostly teach to "Love the sinner, but hate the sin".

If this truly applies, we should love satan (biggest sinner of all), but merely hate what he does (sin).

Ministers will tell you that it is fine to hate Satan, & that he deserves hellfire, but my biggest complaints with that are:

God created Satan. Why? If he hated him?
If you created someone, (say, it was YOUR kid) would you hate them?
So what if Satan deserves hell fire, Bible says to LOVE your enemies (is Satan an enemy?) which is not the same as loving what they do, it is perfectly ok to hate his evil actions.
People have all done wrong as well, & according to the Bible, not just Satan, but ALL of us are deserving hell fire.

So if we deserve hellfire along with Satan, why all the hate/love contradictions they teach in the pulpit?

No wonder people get confused & kill "those horrid sinners" after they get a load of love your enemies, yet kill them?

How can this foster peace?

Yes, John, but people do the same thing down here even now, what is the difference? A sinner is a sinner.

Shouldn't we just hate what they do, not who they are?

Yes Starjump.
But your logic fails. Gods word says that sin is the willful disobedience to God. (Not accidental).

How is Satan's rebellion not willful? Thank you!

Speaking about Christianity only for now; I suspect it is what
'we' Americans currently call freedom; under freedom one can use it or abuse it; we just are held responsible by God, not other men in many cases.

Satan is not a sinner. Satan is a perfect being, an angel, therefore completely responsible for his own actions. He does not make mistakes, and he does not repent. God created Lucifer, the most beautiful of angels if you can believe it. Lucifer began to get full of himself and because of the gift God gave all of us, free will, we are free to choose whatever path we want. Satan chose his path very carefully. We do not even remotely classify in the same league as Satan, because we are not perfect. Imagine if you would the Para Olympics Vs the Olympic Games. We humans are in the Para Olympics while angels classify for the Olympic Games. We are not judged the same. We as Christians are to hate badness, and Satan represents that. He is responsible for the state of humanity. And Religious Leaders have always warped Bible truths for their own advantage, usually money wise. Stay away from false teachings if you recognize them.
P.S The Bible says that Sin entered the world through Adam. Satan did not sin in the way humans do. Humans can't help it. It is in their DNA. When he said Love your enemies, he meant humans. God will deal with Satan--he has been more than lenient towards him don't you think. Read Job in the beginning, where God is having a council and Satan shows up. (it is also the reason, this chapter, why God allows Satan to tempt us).

Satan rebelled against God and calls others into his same rebellion. He actively works to bring evil into the souls of us all. We have all given in to the temptations he send to us. Yes you are right when you say that we all deserve hell fire. But Jesus Christ has given us not what we deserve -- but what a loving God grants us in his mercy -- forgiveness. We should all remember our own sins and give thanks to God that in Christ we are forgiven.

Religions that prepare hate??? thrilling. it variety of feels that maximum religions are themselves the victims of hate directed at them by technique of the media. could the government ban media retailers that prepare others that faith is stupid.. or prepare that we would desire to continually no longer vote for somebody because of the fact he's a Mormon? The mass media has taught the familiar public that faith is the source of lots of society issues. John Lemon might sing, "think of there is not any faith"... isn't this an attack against faith? Why are we taught that folk who're non secular are undesirable human beings?
