The only sweet treat I remember was Double Bubble Gum. And it was a real treat as during the 2nd ww there was not much of it. Snacks we must have had like apples or bananas. And one year a neighbor taught us to eat cabbage leaves. They were great. OK, so Our snacks came out of the garden. Once in a while some home made cookies. We sure were not obese kids.
