I am getting over food poisoning and am beginning to get my appetite back, but when I try and eat I end up vomiting. Can I have any recommendations on what to eat?
Thanks.

Try rusk or chicken soup and drink tea. Hope you´ll feel better soon.

Oh, that's terrible. I hope you feel better soon. Here is some medical advice, including suggestions for foods: http://www.gmhc.org/health/nutrition/factsheets/nausea.html

Fatty foots are out, and so are things with a strong smell. Try making some toast -- it's dryer than bread, so your stomach may tolerate it better. Eat slowly, with small bites. Plain rice is very easy on the stomach. Even if you don't want milk, you can munch on some cheerios or corn flakes -- plain cereals. Whatever you have, just have a little at a time.

You also need fluids pretty badly right now. Drinking a full glass of water might not work -- you might not be able to keep it down. If that is a problem, take small sips, or even eat ice chips.

There is a drugstore product called emetrol that really works when you're recovering. It calms your stomach down so you won't be so quick to throw up.

Bland stuff, no meat. Rice, bread, toast, that sort of thing.

Try drinking something like gatorade or even pedialite. You can do without food but not without water, even if you keep throwing it up you have to keep drinking, but a little at a time.

I was poisoned by the Indian restaurant near work about a month ago, it took four days to get over the major effects and a week more before I was 'ok'.

Saltine crackers are really good. So is coke. Just take little sips of it and little bites of the cracker. Then, gradually work your way up to more food one step at a time.

Have you tried some soup? Or dry bread?

I've just got over some sickness thing myself, and found the best thing was cold coke.
