should be fine, wash them off first

yes, rinse them off before you drop them in the water, but they will be fine. boiling will kill any bacteria they may have picked up from the floor, as well as the bacteria that is already on them. be sure you wash your hands well after handling raw shrimp.

yes but to be more safe, rinse it and then boil it, since maybe have hair (animal hiar on floor) so be safe than sorry by rinse quickly then throw in boiling water to cook it up. Make sure cook thoroughly (eating raw seafood isn't the best thing although sushi is different)

Yes, it will be fine! If I dropped the already cooked shrimp on the floor, I'd pick it up and rinse it and eat it! My floor's not that dirty that I couldn't rinse something off and then eat it! If you boiled it before you ate it, it's definitely safe to eat!!

boiling anything at 5 minutes (roiling boil for 5 min.) will kill bacteria. But please do clean it first.

There was a study done on where the most germs are in bathroom.

Surprisingly enough it is the metal stopper and drain hole in your sink. So if you drop food there it has a higher chance of getting bacteria than on your floor.

Depends on how clean the floor was, after all there are less bacteria on it than in your mouth.

However, many professional chefs work to a false 5 second rule.

On the floor for 5 seconds or less and they will still use it.

Yeah they'll be fine. Wash them first before you boil them. The temperature will get rid of any bacteria on them.

Boiling water will do the trick. Imagine the filthy ship

deck they were on when they were first caught. Imagine

the grimy net and gross sailors that were handling them.

Sure, I'd rinse them off first though. You don't want anything in the boiling water you didn't put there yourself.

They should be fine, as long as they did not stay on the floor very long. Always remember the 10 second rule...

We've been eating food off of the floor for millions of years, you'll be fine.
